Volunteer Opportunities

F·E·G·S offers a wide array of volunteer opportunities throughout New York City and Long Island for individuals and families. We take the time to find out your skills, talents, and interests and match them with the needs of those we serve. Our goal is to provide you with a rewarding environment for your concern, caring, and generosity, as well as to help an individual or family in a time of crisis or ongoing need.

In New York City, volunteers work with individuals who are unemployed, providing help with resume preparation, job search tips, and other mentoring activities.

On Long Island, there are many opportunities for volunteers to offer valuable time and services.

• Partners in Dignity – Volunteers assist and support individuals and families coping with serious or terminal illness by providing emotional and caring support, respite, visits, phone calls, holiday baskets, driving patients to medical appointments, grocery shopping, doing errands, and delivering meals. & Contact Information
  
• Adopt-a-Family – An opportunity for you and your family to give something special to a family in need, be it food and clothing, on a monthly basis. Needy families also receive F·E·G·S professional case management services. & Contact Information
  
• Community Involvement – Through schools, synagogues, and youth groups, F·E·G·S obtains and distributes school supplies, food, and clothing to needy families. & Contact Information.
