Emergency Assistance

When an individual or a family on Long Island faces a crisis, F·E·G·S is there to help. We offer one-time Emergency Assistance - including cash, food, and clothing - to help people avoid losing their homes through evictions or foreclosures, to ensure that individuals have continuous electricity, heat, and other critical services in their homes, to enable individuals to pay for needed medications, feed their families, and more. Emergency Assistance complements comprehensive F·E·G·S programs that offer an array of counseling, case management, employment, education, and other supportive services designed to help individuals achieve greater independence and rebuild their lives.

Trauma and Disaster Relief assistance provides case management and support services to evacuees, survivors, and family members of deceased or injured recovery workers.
