Consumer Self-Help

At the Suffolk County L.I.F.E. (Living In a Fair Environment) program, individuals recovering from mental health issues will find a warm welcome and a comprehensive array of peer support services. These services educate and assist individuals moving toward self-sufficiency and more independent lives in the community. Work exposure opportunities and paid employment are also available. Among the services offered are:

• Advocacy and Case Management for Benefits, Entitlements, and Housing
• Trauma Recovery Education, Resources and Liaison Companion Services
• Transitional Employment Placements at Human Services Agencies
• Resume and Interview Coaching
• Computer and Internet Training
• Recreational and Social Activities
